For
over 50 years, Ronald Pettus has been collecting historic
memorabilia and artifacts from all over the world. Mr
Pettus, now retired from his profession of what else,
a history teacher, has turned his lifelong dream into
reality by opening The Pettus Museum. The museum is dedicated
to the preservation of local history from the North Alabama
area, but goes much further as the collection includes
items from all over the world. Items dating back at least
to the Jurassic Period may be found here along with other
items such as arrowheads, military uniforms, national
flags, sports items, vintage promotional items, autographs
and photographs. In all, there are an estimated 20,000
plus items in this privately held collection.
History has already passed you
by once. Don't let it all slip away.
Come
and visit Ronald Pettus and learn more about our rich
history in a truly exciting and informative way. |
